MUSIC MINISTRY

“Singing is a full-bodied act of prayer, a means by which the people of God offer praise, confession, lament, intercession, and thanksgiving… Hymns serve as a sung confession of faith and a way of teaching the faith of the church.”

About Our Hymnal

Music has always been an important facet of life at South Presbyterian Church.  Our Chancel Choir, Handbell Choir, and instrumental music enhance worship by providing some of the most beautiful music written from centuries ago through today.

South Church Choir performs “Come, Let us Sing” Psalm 95, written by Aaron David Miller.

This original composition for SATB Choir and Pipe Organ was commissioned in celebration of the 300th anniversary of South Presbyterian Church in Bergenfield, New Jersey.
